Green Shores NYC is hosting two workshops for Bridging the Creek Initiative: June 17 in Long Island City and June 24 in Ridgewood. BTC is a community-driven project designed to connect those living and working on the Queens and Brooklyn sides of Newtown Creek with both the waterway and each other. Bridging the Creek is made possible by a grant from the Hudson River Foundation’s NYCEF Newtown Creek Fund. More details here

April 10th, 2014 S.W.I.M. Drinks
Join S.W.I.M. on the evening of April 10th to honor Commissioner Carter Strickland of NYCDEP. We will present him the Harbor Seal of Approval, in appreciation of his visionary leadership advancing NYC’s nationally-recognized green stormwater infrastructure agenda. Location: The Hudson River Foundation. 6:00-8:30 p.m.

April 4, 2013South Shore Blueway Trail Stakeholder Meeting – S.W.I.M. member Going Coastal, Inc. has been selected to co-design and plan a new canoe and kayak waterway trail in the shallow bays off the coast of Nassau County.   The first community meeting for the trail will at the Freeport Recreation Center.                                              Location: 130 East Merrick Road, Freeport, NY:  6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – – RSVP here
