Below are some documents recently added to the Resources page:
* August 2007 EPA memo explaining that green infrastructure requirements are appropriate to include as enforceable elements of LTCPs and NPDES permits, and stating that EPA plans to release guidance on model language for future permits and LTCP enforcement orders.
* An EPA “Action Strategy” on green infrastructure, recently released. Notably, it states (on page 18) that by the summer of 2008 EPA intends to publish a “guidebook for state and regional NPDES programs (permitting on enforcement) on facilitating the use of green infrastructure via regulatory programs” and (on page 19) that EPA plans to work with a small number of to-be-selected CSO communities to develop model LTCPs incorporating green infrastructure as central elements.
* A resolution adopted by the Environmental Council of the States “encouraging the use of green infrastructure to mitigate the impacts of sewer overflows.”
* A letter from the Washington, DC sewer authority (DC-WASA) committing to incorporating into its NPDES permit a “Best Management Practice Enhancement Package,” which includes a significant number of specific LID initiatives.
